Our Story
Once upon a time, a thousand years ago during Lirit’s senior year in college, she had an idea.
“I have all these beautiful friends,” she thought to herself, “and we’re all shaped so differently, and we all have different struggles finding clothes and costumes that fit us well and accentuate our particular beauty.”
(Only it wasn’t that articulate in her mind. It was more like “Why do pants no fit” and “my friends are preeetttyy”)
She had no particular expertise in corsetry, and pretty much no sewing skills, but she had the dream and so she went for it. She bullied (cough “convinced”) a dozen of her favorite people to model her very first corset project…which was awkward, and poorly tailored, and honestly just awful.
Eight years, one master’s degree in costume design and garment construction, and a whole bucketload of experience later, that dream came back to haunt her. Why not create a company where the whole point is that people can come here to find what they really need? Why not create an environment that’s based around love and respect for our clients, and where (we hope) each individual will feel safe to come as they are and ask for what they need?
WizardKits Artistry is here for you, not just for us. We believe in customized payment plans so that economics do not stand in your way of receiving quality pieces. We believe that human skin and human bodies - no matter the complexion, the size, the smoothness, the state of health - are innately beautiful, and that our garments are here to help show off that beauty.
We believe that garments are here to help the skin match the soul, and show off you in all your magic.
If you can dream it, we can make it - and we will do our utmost best to collaborate with you ethically, respectfully and compassionately every step of the way.
Our Artists
Lirit Elizabeth Olyan
(she/they)
Lirit is our founding artist and lead designer. She began her work as a costume designer for stage and film, but quickly realized that she wanted to serve her communities and individuals more directly. She still loves to tell a good story through the medium of clothing - but, sometimes, the individual and the personal stories are the most important.
Lirit received her BA from Earlham College and her MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. She is an enthusiastic amateur baker, and she only rarely sets the kitchen on fire.
IAN POWELL
(he/him/his)
Ian is a sound editor and engineer with credits such as Sounds Profitable with Bryan Barletta, numerous podcasts for Simpler Media Productions, T’s & Zzz, and The Just Raised. Ian is also a prolific writer who has contributed to the Dystopia Rising tabletop line, I AM ZOMBIE, and the Chronos gaming system. Ian has also written a graphic novel called Grave Days published by Eschaton Media, available at DriveThruRPG.com.
Here at WizardKits, Ian acts as our business manager and resident LARP expert. He knows the ins and outs of so many gaming communities that when we ask questions like “Would a live streamer like huge goblin ears that fit over their headphones?” and he says yes or no, we always listen.

Muti-faceted to the max, Edeline is a web development specialist, a published author, a wellness coach, a model and prolific writer…the list goes on.
Emily Kate
(she/her)
Emily is a model, gamer, and aerial movement artist based on the east coast. She’s been the face of our looks from the beginning, and if there were a “nerd-modeling” genre she would surely be the face of that as well.
